Minneapolis-based artists Annie Larson, Brett Smith, and Erin Smith invite you to join the New Land of Milk and Honey:

"Please accept our invitation to learn about the harmony of community of the New Land of Milk and Honey. We are a collection of artists, craftsmen/craftswomen, and agricultural innovators dedicated to the realization of our creative instincts. Our community is blooming in western Wisconsin, where we harmoniously till the land and support artistic endeavors.

We welcome you to a presentation of our studies, creative products and harmonious lifestyle on February 20th, 2010. We will unveil our current progress in knitting, electronic sleep, ley/tectonic farm acceleration, synesthesia, painting, solar wave exchange, prenatal learning, cryptoceramics, enlargened creativity, and chronobiology.

Accept this opportunity to meet members of our commune, watch an enlightening presentation of our current works, and help us plan for the future. Our arms are open to new, creative peoples excited to create without destroying. We are growing, and want you to grow with us."

Annie Larson: Annie is a fashion designer living and working in Minneapolis. She dabbles in custom design, runway design, collaborations, crafts and machine knitting. She earned a BS in fashion design from the University of Minnesota College of Design in 2006 and studied design in Florence during this time. Annie worked at target corp for three years designing mens and juniors apparel, but has recently resigned to pursue other creative interests. Like Brett and Erin, she is an active member of The New Land of Milk and Honey and is anxious to spread the wealth of the community to all humans.

Brett Smith: Brett was raised in St. Paul and studied industrial design and studio arts at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After completing his degree he continued his studies and found work in Germany. Since returning to the Twin Cities he has worked with sister Erin Smith on furniture, jewelry, and product design. Additionally, his sculptural and installation artwork has been featured at many local galleries, including the Walker Art Center and The Soap Factory. Creative collaboration has always been important to Brett, and the opportunity to assist other artists and gain assistance through the New Land of Milk and Honey has been particularly rewarding. Brett has now joined the farm in Wisconsin, and spends part of his week commuting to various day jobs in Minneapolis.

Erin Smith: Erin Smith grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. After earning a degree in Product Design at Parsons in New York in 2003, she followed in her brother's footsteps, and lived in Germany for a year and a half. Upon return to the United States, she began to collaborate with her brother, Brett Smith on various projects ranging from interior design to jewelry. This partnership culminated in forming Sisbro Design. Erin currently works as a designer for Target Corporation, and spends her free time on Sisbro projects as well as being an active member of The New Land of Milk and Honey.
