Directly following the St. Anthony Main Fireworks
The Ten Second Film Festival begings around 10:15 pm, after the St. Anthony Main fireworks and features the top 100 ten second films, live entertainment, and beer. Please be advised that this film festival is for adults only due to mature content.
The fourth of July is a day to celebrate our history, our heritage, and our inalienable right to create as many dubiously crafted, low tech films as we damn well please. In this spirit, the Ten Second Film Festival is back for a fifth summer. The festival, which drew 3000 eager movie-goers last year, is an event for both the amateur and immature; the talented and the unfortunate; the virtuoso and the accidental artist. Whether you’re a film connoisseur or a recreational viewer your film likely has a place in the lineup.
That’s because this raucous, outdoor festival is created entirely by people like you, using mostly alternative video technologies (like cell phones or cameras with a video function). The result is a film festival that assaults you with some of the silliest, funniest, weirdest and most thought-provoking ten second-long films you’ll see all summer.
You'll be in good hands at the Ten Second Film Festival:
The event features Barb Abney, from 89.3 The Current, Alexis MckInnis, sex advice columnist from Vita.mn, the distinguished Mrs. Smith, and actor and director extraordinaire Randy Reyes.
The Debut will rock the festival, acting as pit-band throughout the evening and also playing a live set.
